Paediatric resuscitation training in resource-limited settings
A volunteer-led initiative delivering adaptable, evidence-based training to strengthen paediatric emergency care where it is needed most.
About PAIRS
PAIRS Group was founded to address the urgent need for accessible, evidence-based paediatric resuscitation training in resource-limited healthcare settings.
Traditional internationally accredited courses are often difficult to implement due to high cost, resource demands, and limited flexibility in curriculum design.
We created PAIRS Group to bridge that gap.
→ Who We Are
A volunteer team of paediatric medicine and resuscitation experts based in Ireland, united by a commitment to equitable access to training.
We work in partnership with healthcare teams in resource-constrained settings to deliver practical, locally relevant training.
→ What We Do
We focus on more than clinical skills. We prioritise communication, teamwork, and patient safety to improve outcomes for children.
Flexible training, built around local realities
Aligned with guidelines
Built on international clinical resuscitation guidelines.
Adaptable to context
Adapts to local staffing, equipment, and infrastructure.
Builds local capacity
Designed so teams can deliver training independently over time.
→ Our Approach
A context-specific approach
Healthcare systems in resource-limited settings face diverse challenges in infrastructure, equipment, and workforce capacity.
PAIRS Group develops flexible training models that prioritise local ownership, sustainability, and long-term impact — enabling healthcare teams to adapt and deliver training independently over time.
